Who We Are

from Rise From The Flames by Victorius

/

lyrics

Another War and the children are dying,
feel no pain as their mothers are crying,
as we watch, we find out just Who We Are.

Turn away ’cause we don’t have to see this,
close my eyes and hope that there’s justice,
one man can’t change this world alone, YEAH!

From the sky the enemies coming,
drop the bombs, the Government’s laughing,
limb from limb, the innocents they are torn.

How much blood will it take to appease you,
burned and black, the heart that’s inside you,
you can’t kill the spirit of Who We Are, NO!

Holding on (the fire keeps burning),
Moving on (the world keeps turning),
All along (the pressure keeps building),
No one hears what you say. (x2)

Terror strikes from the fire in your hands,
across the sea, to burn all the strange lands,
kill them all, but do it from so far.

As you stand with the Devil beside you,
he just laughs ’cause he knows he’s inside you,
you can’t kill the spirit of Who We Are, NO!

Holding on (the fire keeps burning)
Moving on (the world keeps turning)
All along (the pressure keeps building)
No one hears what you say. (x2)

What you say, what you say.
What you say, yeah!

Victorius were formed back in 2006, keeping alive the old school heavy metal sounds. They soon found themselves supporting large acts such as Skid Row, Paradise Lost and 3 inches of Blood. In January 2017 the band rapidly played their way to the Metal to the Masses finals in Glasgow. This spurred them on to start writing new songs and work on recording an album. ... more
